I have had a passion for creating in the visual arts since childhood, when I was deeply inspired at an early age by artists Michelangelo, Georgia O’Keefe, and Frida Kahlo. My love for art led me to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree where I explored my creativity through drawing, print-making, ceramic sculpture, and painting. Although I was able to gain experience in many mediums, I realized that the shoulds and shouldn’ts taught in art school actually stifled my creativity and that unique expression was not truly celebrated there. I found that following my intuition in my creative process gave me deep fulfillment and unending inspiration. The images that sprang from there I could not have thought up with my rational, left-brained mind; I had found my Soul’s voice and tapped into the Mystery.
On some level I knew that I already was an artist and my journey since then has been one of recovering this essence of myself. It has been a healing path, leading me to explore sacred art, art therapy, the creation of mandalas and other ways that tap into art’s potential of healing body, mind, and soul. This is my passion, art/creativity as a vehicle for healing, transformation, and self-realization, as I have experienced this in my own life.
I believe that everyone is an artist and that the full expression of one’s creativity and unique soul is essential to one’s well-being. This belief and a desire to step into my Soul Work led me to study with artist and teacher, Shiloh Sophia. Shiloh is the founder of Color of Woman School and the Intentional Creativity Method. This way of approaching life and the creation of art, through sacred intention, is truly in alignment with my heart and soul.
I feel blessed to be a part of the Intentional Creativity Movement as a teacher, supporting others in following and liberating their own intuitive, creative nature. I believe it empowers people to create the beautiful, peaceful, harmonious, and magical lives that they desire and in turn contributes to the creation of a beautiful New Earth where all beings are free.
